This new "entry level" SVS Powered Cylinder subwoofer has a legacy to maintain. Its remarkable predecessors were widely considered among the best subwoofers in the world for over 5 years running.

Now bundled into a deeper tuned compact enclosure that's better looking and far more potent and linear all at one time.

In-room response for mid-sized spaces will startle you, down to 17hz or lower. The large and efficient cabinet means it keeps up nicely with its larger and heavier Powered Box brother, the PB12-NSD.

A potent 325 watt digital BASH amp has been re-tuned to ensure more natural and flat response, improved durability and better control at the limit.

Couple this with the longest port ever in our compact cylinder enclosures and a new stiffer Aluminum cone from the Plus 12.3 woofer and you have affordable performance in a super-small foot print. Performance few $3K mass market subs can attain frankly.

And while we ship all over the world and have tens of thousands of Powered Cylinders in daily use in every corner of the globe, each is still hand crafted in our Ohio factory. Even our famous woofers are designed and assembled here.

SVS has long built its own woofers. The NSD-AL is one of a continuous evolution back many years now. While affordable there is nothing much "off the shelf" in the nature of this woofer, the heart of any sub. Every part was selected for maximum performance and with this latest NSD rev, we've even put on the stiff, costly and oh so attractive powder-coated aluminum cone stolen from our equally famous Plus 12.3 woofer.

The logo? LASER etched. Call us suckers for slick cosmetics when we can sneak it in the build of material. See, even though it costs much more than the excellent but rather plain "poly" cone of earlier PCi subwoofers, our "cycle time" on the Ohio assembly line goes down with Aluminum.

So you get a nicer looking woofer (hidden though it might be) and we are able to satisfy world-demand on an even more efficient basis, efficiency counts more than ever today.

With the newer deeper tuned enclosure and another round of refinements from our stalwart BASH amp chassis, you can better frequency response, and know your sub is capable of an even greater pounding than ever. Yet like all SVS products, it's still supremely accurate on anything from Jazz to Jurassic Park. Using dual spiders, an American made voice coil and precision over-hung motor structure, the NSD woofer might not win every beauty contest, but you'll care little about that when you hear how it works.
